Written while wandering the Pacific Northwest: sleeping under the stars on a riverside farm in the North Cascades, canoeing and camping in Diablo Lake, taking care of horses, cattle, chickens, pigs, and fields of gold at a ranch in the Okanogan high desert of Washington state.
